Read Psalm chapter 97 VERSE: Psalm 97:11–Light shines on the righteous and joy on the upright in heart. TRUTH: Is our life in the light? If we feel like we are surrounded by darkness, we must remember that light and joy both come from God as we are surrendering ourselves to Him. Through our submission and obedience we can experience God’s joy even in the midst of the most difficult circumstances. RESPONSE: Father, You are my light and my joy. I will not seek after those things from anywhere else. I love You and praise You.

Read Psalm chapter 96 VERSE: Psalm 96:3–Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds among all peoples. TRUTH: What are we declaring in our life today? Does our life declare anger or hopelessness? Does it declare drive for success, status, or money? Our life is to declare the glory of the Lord so that others can see His deeds and His majesty through us. Do we reflect God’s glory each day. RESPONSE: Father, today I want to declare Your glory, not myself or anything else. Only You! Keep me focused on You today so that all You are is see in all I do.
