The Essential 100, Day 90 The return of the Lord. The day and time is coming when Christ will return. Read 1 Thessalonians 4:13-5:11 Christ is coming back! We are so excited about this, but are we ready for it? And more so, are our family and friends and those we were around ready for it, too? We need to make sure that we are sharing the message and the news so that we are not surprised when Christ returns but that we are truly ready and all those that we know and love and have contact with are ready, too.

The Essential 100, Day 89 The Bibe is God’s word for us. It is applicable to every day and every situation we will face. Read 2 Timothy 3:10-4:8. The Essential 100, Day 88 How do we present ourselves? What are we displaying for others to see? Read 2 Timothy 2. As followers of Jesus Christ, it is important to understand how we represent ourselves each day. In the business world, we talk about our “presentation”. How do we show up each day and how to others around us perceive us? How we present ourselves to the world? As believers and followers of Jesus Christ, we should present ourselves to the world as someone who is seeking after the approval of Christ, not men. Our presentation should represent Christ. We are seeking to be known as someone who follows…

The Essential 100, Day 86 With great power comes great responsibility. Even though this statement has been used in multiple comic book references, it’s still very true when it comes to The Bible and the responsibility that leaders have regarding how they are leading others in Christ. Read 1 Timothy 3. When individuals are given positions of power and leadership and authority in a church or other Christian setting, there is a lot of responsibility that goes with those positions. Leadership positions must maintain a higher standard so that they can continue to point people toward Christ. Are you in a position of leadership? You can never be perfect, but…

The Essential 100, Day 84 What do you think about? When we reflect on our thoughts for the day, does it fall into this list? Read Philippians 4:2-10. Thinking back on the subjects that we think about and talk about during the day, would those qualify as true, honorable, pure? Would others around us agree with our assessment? The way we think is an indication of what will ultimately be spoken by us. Our truest self is revealed in our thoughts. Are those thoughts a reflection of Christ living and working in our lives? If not, how can we surrender to him and allow him to guide our thoughts. Only…

God is more than capable of defending us and keeping us focused on him, but we have…

The Essential 100, Day 82 What does the Spirit look like in our lives? Are we allowing the Spirit work and move through us because if we are, there are some specific characteristics that will be evident in our life. Read Galatians 5:16-6:10. The fruit of the Holy Spirit is the listing of the characteristics that God’s Holy Spirit lives out in our lives. These are not suggestions and they are not items that we get to pick and choose from. All of these are to be evident in our life. As we look at our life and the way that we interact with other people, how would we characterize…
