The Weeping Prophet, Day 45

Be content. Read Jeremiah chapter 45.

This chapter recalls a previous situation where Baruch had obeyed Jeremiah and the Lord. Jeremiah gives him a message from the Lord. Baruch was going to continue to experience difficulties, but God was going to preserve his life. He was asking him to be content with his calling and his life.

Sometimes we need to remember that we are not all called to be flashy with standout lives. Most of us are actually called to be humbly obedient and to pass on what we have learned about God to others. Are we doing that? And if we are, are we content with that calling on or lives?
