What Makes A Good Leader, Day 4

Are you a good teacher? Read Titus 2:1-10.
Do you enjoy the idea of being a teacher? Recently, I have made a career shift and am now focusing on being a teacher. I use this YouTube channel is a way to teach others about the truths of the Bible. And, I also teach high school students a variety of subjects. Plus, I coach middle school athletes in the sport of track and field. Moving into doing this on a more regular basis has been an interesting transition. I’ve gotten to know several amazing teachers.
Now, not all teachers are created equally. Great teachers can actually go about doing their teaching very differently. The approach can be different. The methodology can be different. The focus can be different. Even the way in which they handle or manage their classroom can be very different. And yet, they can still all be incredibly good teachers.
Here, Titus was given the mandate to teach the people at the church, but he wasn’t to do that on his own. He was to teach people who would then teach others. He was to teach the older men so that they could teach the younger men. He was to teach the older women so that they could teach the younger women. Teaching someone something should be an act that gets multiplied. When you teach someone how to do something, they should be able to teach someone else that same skill.
When was the last time you taught someone something? Are you teaching people how to live like Christ? Can others look at your life as an example of what to do and how to glorify God? All good leaders are good teachers. They may have very different methods of how they teach, when they teach, and the depth of what they teach. But, they are all teachers. Are you a teacher and can others look at your life as a way to learn how to Live the Christian life?
