Read 1 Corinthians chapter 13

VERSE:

1 Corinthians 13:6–Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.

TRUTH:

Such a beautiful chapter that give so many qualities and characteristics of love. In other places, we are told that God is love, so this chapter also is sharing qualities and characteristics about God. When we are displaying the love of God in our lives, our lives will display these qualities as well. Love does not delight in evil, but rejoices with the truth. While this one sounds so easy (Of course, don’t most people want truth and not evil!?!?), the sad truth is that we can easily be pulled in and deceived as to what is actually truth. Don’t forget, in John 14:6 Jesus is the truth. We are to spend our day rejoicing in the things that reflect and honor Jesus, anything else is evil. Are we living this out in our actions and attitudes today?

RESPONSE:

Father, You are love and You are truth. As I am loving I will also be seeing my world around me through Your eyes and in Your truth. Give me the courage to stand up for Your truth and the capacity to love all that is reflective of Your truth.
