Devotional – December 9, 2011

VERSE:
Psalm 136:1–Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good, for is lovingkindness is everlasting.

TRUTH:
In this psalm the phrase, “for His lovingkindness is everlasting” is repeated over and over again. After everything that God has done, why did He do it? Because “His lovingkindness is everlasting.” Why does God allow hard times? Why does God give us victory over our enemies? Why did God create the world? Why do we give Him thanks? Because His lovingkindness is everlasting.

RESPONSE:
Lord, You are the same yesterday, today, and forever. You are love and everything You do is a result of Your love. I will praise You and thank You in all things because Your lovingkindness is everlasting.
