What Makes A Good Leader, Day 7

Never forget where you came from. Read Titus 3:3-7.

Some of the best leaders I’ve ever had the opportunity to work with were people who truly understood, where they came from and what they had been through. They remembered what it was like to struggle through life. They understood that they had been given their position of leadership as a responsibility to others and not as a reward for something outstanding they had done.

We need to always understand that as believers in Christ, we are only one or two poor decisions away from where everybody else is in this world. Sin is real and will absolutely overtake us if we are not allowing Christ to live and work and move in our lives.

What does that look like for us? Are we staying focused on Christ? Does the memory of our past struggles give us the empathy and the urgency to address those issues in other people so that they, too can experience Christ the way we experience Christ.
