Christian Devotional – April 24, 2014

Read Romans chapter 6

VERSE:

Romans 6:6–For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin.

TRUTH:

When we came to Jesus, He takes our old self and it is killed. Everything about us is dead and gone and the only thing that remains is Jesus Christ. We are no longer ruled or influenced by the sin that has been a part of our life. Now all that is put to death and we are free to follow Jesus whole-heartedly.

RESPONSE:

Father, thank You for putting to death all my sinful thoughts and desires. Please help me to keep them dead so that only You reign. I want You to live our Your life in and through me.
