Christian Devotional – April 3, 2015

Read Psalm chapter 81

VERSE:

Psalm 81:12–So I gave them over to their stubborn hearts to follow their own devices.

TRUTH:

Sometimes God allows us to have what we say w want. We decide that some things are just too wonderful and we strive after them even when we know they are wrong. There are time when God allows us to get those things so we can see and experience just how fruitless and unfulfilling they are when compared with God. Unfortunately, we also receive the consequences of those things as well. Do we desire anything besides God in our lives? Be careful, because God may just decide to allow you to have it, along with all the consequences and heartache it brings.

RESPONSE:

Father, please don’t leave me to my own desires. I don’t always know what is best for me. I pray You will move and work in my life to give me what I need and not just what I want. I know that You are best and I desire You so forgive me and refocus me when I think I want something else.
