Begin Again, Day 24

Keep track. Read Joshua chapter 12.

As we read through this chapter, it can get a little overwhelming with all the names and places that are listed. But, what we see here is a comprehensive list of the victories that God gave the people of Israel. As we continue our practice of obedience to Christ, it’s important to keep track of the victories that he gives us.

Sometimes we can get so caught up in moving on to the next thing that we don’t take the time to praise him for the victories, or to recognize and record the blessing that God gave us in our lives. We need to recognize that recording and remembering are incredibly valuable for us. We will come to a point in our lives where we will question everything and doubt everything. We need those solid reminders of what God has done for us in the past.

Record the victories that we have seen God do in our lives. It is such an incredible way to stay grounded and focused on what we need to stay focused on. What list do you need to make today? Where do you need to put that list so that it is continuously on your mind as you go forward?
