The Voice of the Prophet, Day 46

“I am God.” Read Isaiah chapter 46.
God is continuing to explain the difference between himself and the idols that the people were worshiping. God is inviting them to remember all the things that he has done in the past. Then, he makes a very bold statement. He says that he is God and there is no other; he is God and there is no one like him.
I’ve had a lot of conversations lately, with people who don’t believe in God. They don’t like what I post, or they disagree with my videos. It’s been interesting to see the commentary because their statements are simply, “Well, there is no God.” They don’t have proof for that, but yet they believe it very strongly.
Part of the challenge is that there have been so many man-made gods that people worship and follow, but that don’t do anything. Those gods are not able to save them. Those gods are not able to provide for these people. And yet, people continue to worship them and call them gods. These fakes can sometimes result in people assuming that everything that’s called a god is a fake. God wants to be very, very clear that there is no one like him. He is in a class completely by himself. There is no other god that is going to even have any power compared to the one true God.
People spend time seeing and worshiping the fake gods of this world. They miss the opportunity to worship and experience the one true God. There is no other like him and we can be thankful as we worship him and bring him glory and praise.
