Observations from the Doctor, Day 16

The choice. Read Luke chapter 13.
Every single person has a choice to make when it comes to Jesus. Unfortunately, a lot of people choose no. In Luke chapter 13, we see the results of the choices that people have made. Jesus gives several examples that speak to the results of these choices. Jesus spoke about a fig tree that didn’t give figs or people are choosing the wide path instead of the narrow one.
Throughout this entire chapter, we see Jesus’s desire for people to make the choice to follow him. However, as we see in our key verse today, Luke 13:34, Jesus knows that some people will not choose to follow him. There will be those who are unwilling to receive the gifts that Jesus offers. Ultimately, it is a choice. Jesus chose to heal a woman who desperately needed it and the rulers were so upset and angry about it, they chose not to see Jesus as the healer and the forgiver. Instead, they chose him to see him as someone who stood in opposition to the law that they represented.
We have a choice to make, and God allows us to make that choice. Will we choose to see him as he is: Savior and Lord? Will we choose to deny who he is and face the consequences of that choice?
