At the Right Moment, Day 1

Surrounding yourself with the right people. Read Esther chapter 1.

Our next series is going to take us through a classic book of the Bible. Esther is a tremendous book of the heroism and determination of Esther and her uncle, Mordecai. We see God working through their lives in ways that they never expected and in ways we never would have guessed. As we read through the first chapter, we see the stage being set with all the royalty, pageantry, and opulence that would have been found in the empire in that day and time. The king and his wealth are on full display, and we have a Queen who refuses to do what he says.

Punishment must happen. The king must find a way to save face. He consults his advisers. Part of seeing God move is realizing that God puts people around others to give advice and to share wisdom. In this case, the advisors tell the king that he should look for another queen. The king ultimately takes their advice. God understood and knew and put it in motion so that he he could have his right person on the throne at the right time.

Do we understand that God sees the bigger picture? It means people are in places that he wants them to be when he wants them to be there. Are we following through on everything that God has for us, so that we can be part of his bigger picture?
