Christian Devotional – June 19, 2012

VERSE:
Matthew 25:40–“The King will answer and say to them, ‘Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it to Me.'”

TRUTH:
Jesus shares how people helped out the poor and hurting and then tells the people that they were actually helping out Jesus. Do we see others as if they were Jesus? Do we take the time to stop and help those who are in need, knowing that Jesus counts that as ministering to Himself? Will we be looking for opportunities to minister to Jesus today?

RESPONSE:
Lord, forgive me for times I’ve turned a blind eye toward You and others when I see others hurting. I pray You will help me to see You in every situation and person I encounter today and that I will treat others as I would treat You.
