Christian Devotional – March 16, 2016

VERSE:

Joshua 13:33–The to the tribe of Levi, Moses had given no inheritance; the Lord, the god of Israel, is their inheritance, as he promised them.

TRUTH:

OK, be honest, if you were in the tribe of Levi would you have been excited about receiving the Lord as Your inheritance or would You have been disappointed, frustrated, etc? As you watched all your kinsmen get allocated various pieces of land and property, would your heart have been excited and grateful for what you had received, or resentful and bitter? We often spend a lot of time looking around at what God has blessed other Christians with instead of focusing on and being thankful for what God has blessed us with. Are we thankful and joyful for all that God has promised us today?

RESPONSE:

Father, I know that You know best. You know my gifts and You know my temptations and I thank You for giving me just exactly what I need to challenge me and to bring You glory. Thank You for having me exactly where I am and for using me to glorify You.
