Christian Devotional – November 14, 2016

Read Job chapter 7

VERSE:

Job 7:16–I despise my life; I would not live forever. Let me alone; my days have no meaning.

TRUTH:

Job is crying out in his despair and his agony. He is angry and upset and he doesn’t understand why God is allowing the things that He is allowing. When we have people who are going through the difficult times and the hard times of life, they can feel this exact same way. Are we listening to them? Do we empathize with them? Do we hear what they are saying and see through their pain? Job eventually goes on to realize all that God has done for Him and to praise God, but when we are in the middle of the tough times, that can be much more difficult to do.

RESPONSE:

Father, thank You for being with me and listening to me even when I am frustrated and don’t understand the situations that I am going through. I love You and I trust You. Thank You for leading me even though I don’t know where the plan is taking me.
