Read Job chapter 11

VERSE:

Job 11:7–Can you fathom the mysteries of God? Can you probe the limits of the Almighty?

TRUTH:

Now, Job’s friend Zophar is speaking. Unfortunately, most of what he says is not helpful to Job and not true about Job. However, he does make this statement in verse 7. The answer is no, we cannot fathom the mysteries of God and we can’t know the limits of the Almighty. We are humans and we are God’s creation. We will never know or understand all the mysteries of God. He created the universe with a word. He is worthy of all our glory and praise. As we are going through circumstances that seem too big for us and that we don’t understand, we can rest in God, knowing that He’s not surprised and He completely understands every aspect of all that is going on. We don’t surprise Him. Situations don’t surprise Him. Will we trust God?

RESPONSE:

Father, I praise You for all that You have done, as there’s so much of it that I don’t understand. Help me to know and to recognize Your hand in everything and to relax in You, knowing that You have everything perfectly under control. I will praise You for all that You have done and all that You are doing in my life, even when I don’t understand it.
