The Weeping Prophet, Day 51

God will avenge us. Read Jeremiah chapter 51.

After explaining all of the judgment that the people of Israel are going to go through, Jeremiah reminds them that God is going to avenge them. Even though the Babylonians were used by God to destroy the Israelites, that wasn’t to be forever. The Babylonians would still need to answer to God for their sin. Judgment would come and God would avenge his people.

Are we trusting in God to provide his vengeance in his time? We may not like the situation we find ourselves in, but God understands and he is the one responsible for making things right. God is the judge, not us. Are we allowing God to move in his timing and in his way?
