As we look at continued chapters about the importance of wisdom, we see that so often people confuse what they’re looking for, or they fail to even start looking. Before we are willing to look for wisdom, we must understand that we need wisdom. If we don’t think we need it, then we won’t be looking for it. Wisdom starts with the Lord. Days of Wisdom, Day 8 Are we looking for wisdom? Read Proverbs 8. As we read this chapter we see wisdom speaking here. Are we looking for wisdom? As it says here, if we look for wisdom, then we will not only find it, but we will find life and find favor with God. How else can we continue to move forward and seek after God? We must seek wisdom.

Days of Wisdom, Day 7 Do we guard the teachings we receive? Read Proverbs 7. As Solomon continues, he shares the story of the young man who gets caught up with an adulterous woman. But he starts the chapter with a reminder that we must listen and guard the wisdom that we receive. Do we hang on to the wisdom that we have received? Do we make a point of learning and listening to all the things that God has taught us?

Days of Wisdom, Day 6 Are we truly free? Read Proverbs 6. The Bible has a lot to say about money. Many verses all throughout scripture speak about our attitudes regarding money. Interestingly, this chapter deals with money from the idea of loaning it or cosigning loans for people. When we borrow money, we become enslaved to the one we borrowed from. Are we actively seeking to get out of debt? All debt? Days of Wisdom, Day 5 God knows. Read Proverbs 5. As we continue to read and study all that Solomon shares in the book of Proverbs, we realize that God is everywhere and he sees everything. God is wisdom and he desires that we get wisdom. But, God won’t force that on us. Still God sees all that we do and he knows all that we think. When we do something that is wrong, do we realize that God is going to judge us? God examines all that we do and it will be measured up against his standard. Are we trusting in him?

What is in our hearts is going to come out in other areas in our lives. I have been guilty of be very bitter about several situations in my life.
