VERSE: Job 13:15–Though He slay me, I will hope in Him. Nevertheless, I will argue my ways before Him. TRUTH: Job will hope in God regardless of what God will do to Him. Even if God takes Job’s life, Job will hope in God. Do we have that level of commitment to what God has for us. It does mention that Job will continue to argue his ways before God. VERSE: Job 12:13–“With Him are wisdom and might, to Him belong counsel and understanding.” TRUTH: Job, even after going through all he’s been through, still has this to say about God. God has the wisdom and the might. God owns all the understanding and He is never surprised by event that happen. Plus, He alone full comprehends the significance of those events in the overall plan He has. When we go through difficulties, do we still say that God knows all things and has all wisdom? VERSE: Job 11:11–For He knows false men, and He sees iniquity without investigating. TRUTH: God is overall and knows more about everything, including people, than we ever will. God doesn’t have to wonder why people do the things they do, He knows. He sees every motive, every thought, every action without having to even try. While we may, at times, put our trust and faith in the wrong people, God is never fooled or tricked. We must put our faith and trust firmly in God. VERSE:Job 10:2–“I will say to God, ‘Do not condemn me. Let me know why You contend with me.'” TRUTH: When we experience difficulties, the question “why” is one of the most common questions to ask. “Why is this happening to me?” “Why are You allowing this?” We often assume that God has some rational, logical purpose that if we were just aware of would make it easier to endure. However, God often does not reveal the “why” for the situations we go through. There can be several reasons, but one reason is that we are to take comfort, not in knowing the “why,” but in the “Who,” God Himself. RESPONSE:…

VERSE: Job 9:33–“There is no umpire between us, who may lay His hand upon both of us.” TRUTH: Job shares about the perfection of God and the sinfulness of man. He then states that he wishes there was a mediator to go between God and man. Someone who would be able to identify with both sides. What Job wishes for, God provides through the person of Jesus Christ. Jesus was God and also became man so that He could bridge the gap between a perfect God and a sinful man. VERSE: Job 8:15–“He trusts in his house, but it does not stand; he holds fast to it, but it does not endure.” TRUTH: Bildad, another of Job’s friends, now speaks and shares how godless people end up placing their hope and trust in their material possessions, which will eventually pass away.
