VERSE:James 3:17–But wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, unwavering, without hypocrisyTRUTH:Are these the characteristics that make up all aspects of our life? If not, we need to come back to God, the giver of wisdom, and surrender to Him.RESPONSE:Lord, help me see the areas in my life that don’t line up and surrender them to You so this can describe my whole life.

VERSE:James 2:12–So speak and so act as those who are to be judged by the law of libertyTRUTH:We have been given new life by the mercy of Jesus Christ. That new life sets us free and gives liberty. Do we show others the same mercy that we have received by our words and actions?RESPONSE:God, thank You for Your mercy that brings freedom; help me use it to show mercy to others

VERSE:James 1:20–for the anger of man does not achieve the righteousness of God.TRUTH:Things happen that frustrate and anger us. God wants us to give our anger over to Him instead of acting on our anger ourselves. God has His plan and His timing. We must be careful we don’t let our anger get in the way of experiencing God’s best.RESPONSE:Lord, thank You for giving peace in the midst of anger. Help me to glorify You regardless of the circumstance.

VERSE:Daniel 12:3–Those who have insight will shine brightly like the brightness of the expanse of heaven, and those who lead many to righteousness like the stars forever and ever.TRUTH:What are we doing that will last? The major theme throughout the book of Daniel has been to stand firm and lead people to Christ because you never know what will come in the future. Are we sharing the righteousness of Christ?RESPONSE:Lord, help me to share Your righteousness with everyone I meet.

VERSE:Daniel 11:1–In the first year of Darius the Mede, I arose to be an encouragement and a protection for him.TRUTH:How do we treat those who do not believe in or follow Christ? Do we cut them down because of their unbelief, or do we lovingly share the truth while living it before them? We are to be an encouragement for them so they can see the love of Christ.RESPONSE:Lord, thank You for placing non-believers in my life. Help me to treat them as You would

VERSE:Daniel 10:19b–Now as soon as he spoke to me I received strength and said, “May my lord speak for you have strengthened me.”TRUTH:God has everything we need when we need it. Daniel was terrified by what he was seeing, but the messenger of the Lord spoke to him and strengthened him. Do we go to God’s word for strength?RESPONSE:Lord, speak to me so that I may have Your strength and not try to work in my own strength.

VERSE:Daniel 9:3–So I gave my attention to the Lord God to seem Him by prayer and supplications, with fasting, sackcloth and ashes.TRUTH:Facing difficulties, do we turn to God? Do we come before Him pleading and desperate knowing that only He can provide an answer, then waiting until He does? Daniel sought God. Do we?RESPONSE:Lord, only You have the answers to the questions in my life. Only You bring meaning. I will come before You and wait for Your answers.

VERSE:Daniel 8:19–He said ‘Behold I am going to let you know what will occur at the final period of the indignation, for it pertains to the appointed time of the end.’TRUTH:God knows what is going to happen and in this case, He gave a glimpse of that to Daniel. Daniel still had to trust that God knew what He was doing and that everything would turn out alright in the end. Do you trust God regardless of whether He shares with us or not?RESPONSE:Lord, I trust You and I know that You make all things work for Your glory, at every time past, present and future.

VERSE:Daniel 7:22 Until the Ancient of Days came and judgment was passed in favor of the saints of the Highest One, and the time arrived when the saints took possession of the kingdom.TRUTH:Daniel had several visions of thing to come in the world. Jesus does prevail and He will ultimately come and establish His kingdom, passing judgment on all those who are not in Him. Are we living like we already have the victory through Jesus?RESPONSE:Lord, You are over all and You have victory over all!
