VERSE:Hebrews 10:36–For you have need of endurance so that when you have done the will of God, you may receive what was promised.TRUTH:We cannot do the will of God on our own, and we certainly can not do it consistently. God provides for us first by doing through Christ what we could not do on our own and second by providing the promise of redemption and eternal life.RESPONSE:Lord, thank You for making a way for us to endure because even when we want to do Your will, we fail. Thank You for keeping Your promises to us.

VERSE:Hebrews 9:28–So Christ also, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time for salvation without reference to sin, to those who eagerly await Him.TRUTH:We have God’s promise that Christ will return and He who was offered to bear the sins of the world will come back in complete victory. We have His promise and we are to wait in anticipation of that time. Are we living in expectation?RESPONSE:Lord, thank You for the victory You have already won. I eagerly await Your return!

VERSE:Hebrews 8:12–For I will be merciful to their iniquities and I will remember their sins no more.TRUTH:God made a way through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ for us to have full and everlasting forgiveness of sins. His sacrifice is the only way to experience the forgiveness and mercy God has for us. Have you accepted his sacrificial gift?RESPONSE:Lord, thank You for Your gift of forgiveness. Your mercy and forgiveness is amazing.

VERSE:Hebrews 7:25–Therefore He is able also to save forever those who draw near to God through Him since He always lives to make intercession for them.TRUTH:When we ask for forgiveness through Jesus Christ, we are forgiven. Not just for a moment, but forever as He always lives. Jesus forgives us completely and forever. Do we forgive ourselves?RESPONSE:Lord, thank You for Your amazing forgiveness. Help me to realize that when You forgive me, I am completely forgiven forever.

VERSE:Hebrews 6:10–For God is not unjust so as to forget your work and the love which you have shown toward His name, in having ministered and in still ministering to the saints.TRUTH:God sees and remembers the work that we have done and the love that we show to others. We are never forgotten, no matter how we feel sometimes. God sees, remembers, and loves us.RESPONSE:Lord, thank You for being faithful to me and for remembering me

VERSE:Hebrews 5:8–Although He was a Son, He learned obedience from the things which He suffered.TRUTH:Jesus did suffer and go through hardships and temptations. Through it all, He proved Himself obedient. When our hard times come, do we see them as an opportunity to learn to be obedient to God through faith in Him? RESPONSE:Lord, help me not waste any opportunity to be obedient to You, even in my sufferings.

VERSE:Hebrews 4:16–Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in our time of need.TRUTH:Where to go when we need help? The throne of grace. We can come with confidence to the throne where we receive exactly what we need: mercy and grace.RESPONSE:Father, words cannot express my thanks for your mercy and grace, but to know that I may have confidence they are always available is truly amazing!

VERSE:Hebrews 3:3–For He has been counted worthy of more glory than Moses by just so much as the builder of the house has more honor than the house.TRUTH:Moses brought God’s law to the people, but Jesus was the creator and fulfiller of the law. He stands alone as more worthy of glory and honor than Moses or the law because of his position.RESPONSE:Lord, I praise You for being over all. You are worthy of all glory.

VERSE:Hebrews 2:18–For since He Himself was tempted in that which He has suffered, He is able to come to the aid of those who are tempted.TRUTH:Jesus was tempted and overcame the temptations. Because of this, He is able to help us through the temptations we face, even when they are difficult and painful. Do we rely on the Lord through our temptations?RESPONSE:Lord, help me to allow You to lead me through the trials I go through. You suffered through and overcame, help to do so also.

VERSE:Hebrews 1:10–And you, Lord, in the beginning laid the foundation of the earth and the heavens are the works of your handsTRUTH:God is creator. He laid the foundation for all that we see and know. He is over all and deserves all recognition and praise. Do we acknowledge his work?RESPONSE:Lord, I praise You for Your creation. I praise You for Your attention to detail. I praise You for being over all!
