Christian Devotional – August 7, 2015

Read Luke chapter 1

VERSE:

Luke 1:20–And now you will be silent and not able to speak until the day this happens, because you did not believe my words, which will come true at their appointed time.

TRUTH:

What would happen if God made us mute every time we didn’t believe one of His promises? Would we ever talk? For Zechariah, he had several months of silence as He waited and watched what God would do and how God would fulfill His promise. We can trust that God will do what He says He will do and that He is going to be faithful to us and to Himself. God has allowed us the ability to continue to share; will we?

RESPONSE:

Father, I will believe and rest in Your promises to me. I will share with others every chance that I get about You, Your promises, and Your power. Keep me focused on You and all that You have promised for me.
