Begin Again, Day 2

It matters who you follow. Read Joshua 1:10-18.

God has given his command to Joshua and now Joshua is taking action. He starts by moving forward with all that God had commanded him to do. He gets the people ready to crossover into the promised land. Here we see the people committing themselves to following Joshua.

When we are starting again, we need to come to God’s word first as we saw yesterday. But, we also need to make sure that we are following leaders that are following God. Our leaders need to be an example of Christ and all that Christ is. It is important that we are following him and also following other leaders who are following him.

Take a look at the leadership around us. Certainly, no one is perfect, and we should not hold anyone to that standard, but are they committed to following Christ? Are they seeking Christ, no matter what? We need to ensure that we are following Christ and that we are following others who are also following Christ.
