Judgment and Restoration, Day 2

Broken. Read Micah 1:8-16.

As Micah introduces the idea of judgment on the people of Israel, we see just how broken he is about their judgment. He is completely devastated. He cannot stand the idea that God’s people are going to suffer the judgment that God is sharing with him.

Are we broken by sin? Are we broken by the sin we see in our own lives and by the sin we see in others’ lives? What is our response to sin? Yesterday we saw that even the mountains will crumble in comparison with God’s glory. How will we respond? Will we become crumbled and broken before a holy and awesome God?

As we recognize the sin in our own lives, the sin in the lives of others, and as we take inventory of our life, what is our response? Micah was shown first-hand the sin that was in the lives of the people. What sins is God revealing to you? And what is our response to that revelation? Are we broken before God because of our sin.
