Through him came Jesus and all the nations of the earth will be blessed by Jesus. Are we sharing Jesus with all the nations? Do we have a heart to see others come to know Jesus? Only through Jesus are we blessed and those who don’t know Him will be cursed. RESPONSE: Lord, help me to find ways to help Your name spread to all the nations so that ALL may know and…

VERSE: Genesis 11:4a–They said, ‘Come let us build for ourselves a city and a tower whose top will reach into heaven and let us make for ourselves a name. TRUTH: What was the sin at the tower of Babel? Pride, the desire to make oneself great and honor oneself above God. Do we desire to make ourselves seem great, or to glorify God? RESPONSE: Lord, help me to always seek Your glory over anything else that I do.

VERSE: Genesis 10:5–From these the coastlands of the nations were separated into their lands, everyone according to his language, according to their families, into their nations. TRUTH: It has always seemed natural for us to divide into groups of people that are similar to ourselves. We must be careful to not overlook the greatest similarity: God’s love for us and our need for salvation through Jesus Christ. RESPONSE: Lord, help me see people through Your eyes and know the love You have for everyone so that I might share it with them.

VERSE: Genesis 7:1–Then the Lord said to Noah, “Enter the ark you and all your household, for you alone I have seen to be righteous before Me in this time” TRUTH: How wonderful that Noah is seen by God as righteous, and yet how sad that it’s only Noah! Noah’s faithfulness was recognized and rewarded. What would God say if He reviewed our lives? RESPONSE: Lord, I desire to follow You more than anything else. Help me to surrender to Your will in all areas of my life.

VERSE: Genesis 6:22–Thus Noah did; according to all that God had commanded him, so he did. TRUTH: Noah had just received some strange and odd instructions, yet he didn’t argue, question, complain or make excuses. He just did. Do we have that attitude toward God; no matter where He leads us, we’ll go? RESPONSE: Lord, help me have the same level of obedience that Noah did and to trust You no matter what.

VERSE: Genesis 5:2–He created them male and female and He blessed them and named them Man in the day when they were created. TRUTH: God reminds us that not only is He creator, but He cares for His creation. God blessed them and He gave them names, both of which were very important in this culture. God is not far off, He is interested and attentive to His creation and cares for us very much. RESPONSE: Lord, You are an amazing Creator! Thank You for not just creating us, but for caring for us!

VERSE: Genesis 4:7–If you do well, will not your countenance be lifted up? And if you do not do well sin is crouching at the door; and it’s desire is for you, but you must master it. TRUTH: Disappointment and down circumstances make us vulnerable to sin. When we experience tough times, do we go to God for encouragement, or do we allow jealousy or anger or despair in? RESPONSE: Lord, help me to focus on You in good times and bad. You are the only one who satisfies, regardless of the circumstance.

VERSE: Gen 3:23–therefore the Lord God sent him out from the garden of Eden to cultivate the ground from which he was taken. TRUTH: Adam and Eve sinned and God punished them. Then as a result of their sin, they had to leave the garden. However, God did not give up on Adam and Eve or forget about them. God sent them out of the garden, but He gave them purpose and responsibility. Even when we sin and receive God’s punishment, He still loves us and through our repentance and return to Him, He still has purpose for us. RESPONSE: Lord, thank You for Your forgiveness when we mess up.…
