The Coming King, Day 22 God’s peace guards us. Read Philippians 4:7. The peace of God is an amazing thing. Often we don’t think about peace being powerful, but scripture says that God’s peace guards us. God’s peace does for our heart and mind what a bodyguard does. There is something that blocks us from the difficulty and harm that is waiting for us, seeking to destroy us. Are we seeking for the peace of God? Do we recognize it for the power that it is? The Coming King, Day 21 God’s peace is not our peace. Read John 14:27. God gives us peace, as we saw in previous verses this week, but God’s peace is not based on our definition of what peace is. God’s peace is based upon his definition of peace. God’s peace is beyond our true understanding. Only through Christ can we experience calm assurance and peace even when everything around us is chaotic and falling apart. When we think of peace do we recognize that it is truly from him and is not about our perception? We can find true peace in Christ regardless of the situation we find ourselves in.
